There are opportunities to attend an MLS team’s open tryouts to try and get noticed but it can be very difficult with tryout numbers often exceeding 250+ players.
Are high school soccer tryouts hard?
Trying out for the high school soccer team can be tough but rewarding. It’s a big commitment, but you will learn a lot in the process, not only about soccer but also about how to challenge yourself. Try to begin preparing at least three months before the actual tryouts, if possible.

The registration fees for U11/U12 are $400 and are $450 for U13/14/15 for the full year. Included in that price is: 14-18 regular season league games (approx 7-9 regular season games each season Fall + Spring).

Why is select soccer so expensive?
Youth soccer is expensive, mainly due to the funding of competitions and games. To hold a youth soccer tournament or run a youth soccer league, the teams have to pay for everything involved that makes the event successful; this includes referees, turf prep, concessions stands, etc.

WA Youth Soccer will use the Cascade mountain range as a determined border between WA & EWA EPD. A player can tryout for either WA or EWA EPD if they live within 50 miles on either side of the boundary line.
