Using any kind of mixed media paper is especially bad for Copic markers. It’s really similar to watercolor paper but has a tighter texture surface. Copic inks need a paper that is smooth so the alcohol can be worked on the surface. The less time it takes for the ink to soak in, the better your paper will be.
Do copics smudge microns?
Microns ARE NOT suitable for use underneath Copic ink. This is sad because this Microns are the most popular fineliner on the market today. Micron ink will contaminate Copic nibs and spread errant color to other projects. You can not clean Micron ink from a Copic nib.
