In the epilogue of Supernova, it is revealed that Magpie got her powers after she was shot as a baby and her parents were killed. Her older sister is said to have survived the attack, though her location is never revealed. It is heavily implied that Nova is her older sister.

In Renegades, romance sat quietly in the background, but here it is genuinely the whole book. This sequel became so unnecessarily cheesy and sappy. It felt like every single scene was an excuse for Nova to pretend to pretend to flirt with Adrian while actually just flirting with him.

Though that is my preference, I don’t think one is greatly “better” than the other. Archenemies is a satisfying sequel that will leave you wanting more and more. Renegades is amazing. Archenemies is equally amazing. I would highly highly recommend this series – it is one of my new absolute favorites of all time.
