Light Tune Series Dual Channel LED Drivers are the ideal solution for powering color tunable LEDs, enabling precise control of color temperature and lumen output via dual 0-10V dimmers or a smart controller. Dial in the perfect light for any situation, and enjoy the myriad benefits of human-centric LED lighting.
Can you double up LED drivers?
You can’t in general connect multiple drivers to a single LED, they are likely to damage each other.
Does each LED need a driver?
Every LED light fixture requires an LED driver to power them. There are two different types of devices: internal drivers and external drivers. Internal drivers are normally found in household light bulbs. These are your standard incandescent and CFL light bulb replacements with screw-in or plug-in capabilities.
Is LED driver bad?
LED drivers rectify higher voltage alternating current to low voltage. If you have a good LED and a bad operating LED driver your high bay LED Lights won’t be functional for long. Most LED failures are not from the LED, but from the driver. Usually the circuits burn out and fail.
What does a Mosfet driver do?
A MOSFET driver IC translates TTL or CMOS logical signals, to a higher voltage and higher current, with the goal of rapidly and completely switching the gate of a MOSFET. An output pin of a microcontroller is usually adequate to drive a small-signal logic level MOSFET.
What is isolated gate driver?
Isolated gate drivers for power density & isolation An isolation device allows data and power to transfer between the high-voltage and low-voltage units, while preventing any hazardous DC or uncontrolled transient current flowing from the grid.
How many LEDs can you run with a driver?
How many lights can one driver power? Drivers are not limited by the number of LED lights they power. They are restricted by the total wattage of the LED lights they power.
Can LED drivers be wired in parallel?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. In order to parallel two MEAN WELL LED drivers both would need to have a ‘current sharing’ function. There is a general belief that you can connect any two power supplies in parallel if you use two diodes to isolate the supplies. This is false.
What causes an LED driver to fail?
It is very rare that agood quality LED driver fails because of a manufacturing fault. In most cases the failure is caused by a problem with the installation, or there are some environmental factors at play. You should also make sure that there are not too many lights on the output of the LED driver.
