What does CineStyle?
CineStyle is basically a picture profile which cuts some of the contrast; effectively capturing more details in your image. You can achieve the same effect, by turning down the contrast, saturation, and sharpness of your camera.
Does Canon M50 have C log?
Unlike the EOS R, the M50 doesn’t come with Canon log or any flat profile. It closely matches Canon Log on the EOS R and is fully compatible with C-log LUTs.

Now you can start shooting with the CineStyle picture style and get great flat footage to start with. If you don’t have the time to install Cinestyle, or you’re borrowing a camera that doesn’t have it installed and you’re in a rush, you can create the Prolost profile very quickly. Again, click on MENU, go to SHOOT3 and then select PICTURE STYLE.
