The bag is made out of water-resistant materials designed to keep your electronics, clothing, and other gear dry, however, considering it’s water resistant and not waterproof, this bag is not able to keep your gear dry in the event of a heavy downpour.

How do you get the plastic taste out of an Osprey hydration bladder?
Some users may initially notice a plastic-like taste when using any of our products made with TPU. This taste typically subsides over time and can be eliminated by simply squeezing juice from a lemon into the product, filling it with water, then freezing it. After frozen, remove, thaw and rinse.
Is the Osprey Daylite packable?
Sure, it’s not technically a “packable” daypack like the YNOT Deploy or Matador Freefly16, but the Osprey Daylite Plus is still pretty lightweight and lays flat when compressed.

Tested: Osprey Talon 22 But this is a fairly simple day pack. If Osprey made this bag waterproof, I’d say you might never need another bag. Second is the side pockets. They are deep but small, and tight, which don’t allow for a large variety of water bottle sizes to fit.

My Osprey Daylite backpack does have a reservoir sleeve and while I don’t have this reservoir, the dimensions listed do indicate that it would fit in the backpack. I just measured the backpack reservoir sleeve and it’s about 14 inches high and 7 inches wide. The depth is flexible because it just pushes into the main backpack compartment. Helpful?
Can I put a reservoir in the daylight pack?
The Daylight pack does not have a reservoir sleeve or port for the drinking tube. However, you could still put a reservoir in the pack an pass the tube through an opening in the zipper. Helpful?
